sees classical singers Gwawr Edwards, Sioned Terry and Ellen Williams come together in harmonious union. This dynamic trio pleased audiences to standing ovations on their Encore UK tour coinciding with the release of their debut album with Sain Records, which features Welsh favourites such as Calon Lân, classical favourites such as Puccini’s O Mio Babbino Caro and Caccini’s Ave Maria, and new arrangements of Moon River and Bridge Over Troubled Water. Athena were delighted that Encore was chosen as album of the week by Chris Needs on his popular BBC Radio Wales show.

Recent highlights for the trio include a performance in the Royal Albert Hall as part of the Salvation Army’s annual carol service, a televised performance in the opening concert of the National Urdd Eisteddfod from the Wales Millennium Centre, and joining the Pontarddulais Male Choir and British Sinfonietta in concert in the Brangwyn Hall. The trio were also delighted to perform at the Football Association of Wales Awards evening in Hensol Castle, and had great success with their concert series in Welsh theatres with guest artist Steffan Rhys Hughes.

2020 sees Athena take to international waters as they perform on board the exclusive Oceana Regent cruise ship and the NCL Jade and Spirit, as well as many more concert dates on home ground.
