Athena trio sees classical singers Gwawr Edwards, Sioned Terry and Ellen Williams come together in harmonious union - three sought after Welsh artists that came together one evening in concert and formed ATHENA. The trio have been busy creating new arrangements, appearing on television and radio, working in the recording studio and performing across the UK.
Recent highlights include a televised performance as part of the opening concert of the National Urdd Eisteddfod from the Donald Gordon Theatre in the Wales Millennium Theatre and the release of their debut album 'ENCORE' on the Welsh label Sain Records. The trio were also delighted to perform at the Football Association of Wales Awards evening at Hensol Castle, and had great success performing at venues across the UK on both their 2018 Tour and this year's 'Encore' tour with singer Steffan Rhys Hughes from Only Men Aloud.
ATHENA are excited to be giving their debut performance at the Royal Albert Hall later this year as special guests of the Salvation Army in their national carol service, as well as joining the Pontarddulais Male Choir and British Sinfonietta in concert in the Brangwyn Hall. In 2020 the trio look forward to performing on board the exclusive Oceana Regent cruise ship, whilst visiting South Africa and Mauritius!
